Script for the upcoming film ‘Loosey’

1.-Missy-Jubilee.-044.-Loosey

Long form script: episode 44 of 250
“Loosey”
You got a branch loose up in your brain forest girlfriend

This was a film about a 30 year best friendship
That experienced an unfortunate side hustle
Towards nope, no way, nuh uh

The cause was circular
And yet distant

Perhaps I was only
Coherent as a person and a friend
From a distance

Perhaps I am guilty
Of not staying the person I always was

The person with the nice girl mask on
For everyone’s comfort
But mine

Perhaps the magnitude of emotional inequality
Was the straw that killed
A friendship built on a foundation
Of fuck all, not much and some string

I pulled at one of those strings
And couldn’t find
The me that doesn’t exist anymore

Because this me now
Is choosing to be weird
And not needing to be cheered by you

This me is choosing to be different
Instead of indifferent

This me is choosing to search for perfection
In imperfection and failings

This me is choosing fuck off
Instead of
I’ll make everything better

Again

I am sorry that you have been conditioned to believe
That a woman’s bare skin is pornographic and obscene

I am sorry that you cannot separate my skin from me

I am sorry that you believe the flesh I was born in
That I learned to walk in
That has been held and hurt and rejected
I am sorry that you believe that this flesh
Is lewd and something I should be ashamed of

I am sorry you feel you have to wave your right index finger
In my general direction. At my art and my life
To protect you from what you find uncomfortable

I’m sorry me being me
Got in the way of you being you

And us being us

I am sorry that I was wrong for our friendship

But sometimes you realize that
You just have to be ok with being a life stat

A measured weight of emotional roadkill
Just stinking up someone else’s memory

Did you mean to search for ‘no escape’?
Because
You can’t read the book of life more than once
You knew that right?

I am what I write

A parable white girl
In a black poet mind

And logic
Is a cop with a flashlight
Shining in my eye
While I’m singing sad songs to cut your wrists by
In a warm bath of discontent

Here Comes the Sun
Da da da da
Here Comes the Sun
I say
It’s alright

-The Beatles. Here Comes The Sun

But its not alright John and Paul

Actually, to be truthful, I find this situation highly sub-optimal

But sub-optimal is a hard word to use in a song

Yours, while focusing on failing as a human being, and realising I am succeeding at something for once – I am over-achieving at being sub-optimal

    Little Darling,

I feel the ice is slowly melting. By the way it was George. Just saying.

You are far too mellow to be angry for too long methinks. Maybe.

Or maybe it is the usual take on mistaken identity, like that grammatically implausible America song:

‘in the desert you cant remember your name, for there ain’t no one for to cause you no pain’

na, na, nanana, na, na, (althogether now) na, na, etc.

Talk to me baby
